Scoreboard?

Got a great new idea for the game?

Scoreboard?

Postby jorgen456 » Tue Feb 21, 2012 4:30 pm

AOS is a game i enjoy a lot, and there is actually just one thing bothering me; that there is no way to track your (and others) statistics. I have been playing AOS only or a couple of days, but im already starting to get pretty good at it and it's really bothering me that non of my games are saved in any way. In my opinion it would make the game a lot more fun if you guys added a scoreboard and/or a player stats page.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that as a casual player persistent leaderboards are a real downer for me. I really do not like them, and I will not be using the certified scoreboard.

Well you know if you press tab you get total points. We also have pyspades scripts to give you your KDR and accuracy. What other statistics would you like to see?

Edit: ^also that.

I'm talking about being able to see your total stats from all games you have ever played, not the stats from the game you are currently playing...

Well the scoreboard that Gorman linked lets you do just that (provided you play certified servers).

I would guess pen and paper (or a text file) would be your best bet. Just mark your score down each time.

I'd rather see improvements for in-game scoreboard that shows who in fact helps team the most, and who just camp at spawn killing AFK.

First thing to improve is mode objective - you get points for intel caps, but not for transporting it, killing carrier, (AFAIK) for capturing tents in TC/TOW, for building your tower/sabotaging enemy tower in babel, ect.

Second is that killing best player is worth the same as killing newb or AFK. Simple solution could be giving for kill as many points as the player is from bottom of scoreboard. So if team is full, you get 16 for best player, 15 for second best, ..., 1 for worst one. Still not perfect, but better than what we have now.

The person who helps the team most is the guy who builds cover and destroys the enemy's.

But that is impossible to get score for really...

thats right gorman.

many builders build defencive bunkers just for the hell of it,and they get no credit,i mean, think about what masterpieces people have created using AOS,i mean,i remember when my team made a building up to the sky barrier (where no more blocks can be placed) and then mr troll (modern griefer) knocks it down.

i mean,wheres the credit?

You have to become a certified server to have the sitelogin enabled. To become a certified server? Not sure, but ask in #AoS in the quakenet IRC and listen to what the @ people say, theGrandMaster probably knows, so would Izzy, or SLoW from LDR (he idles in #LDR too) (also you could PM any of those people and ask probably)!
