Now you know where he comes from and can stop him, usually a bit late, but atleast do something. This many times leads to heated battles focused on the intel instead of points and ratio. This is especially good in pubs.

Well if something gets stolen from your house, you dont know where it is, you have to track it down. When its in your house you know where it is. It makes it too hard to tunnel out with an intel because you cannot dig fast enough

It is already too hard to catch people with the intel if they just leg it. Imagine trying to catch them if you don't even know where they are. Intel stealing would be ridiculously easy and require no skill. At least this way you have to actually kill persurers, the few that are ahead of you that is.
I usually just kill everyone and walk in and grab the intel, then I leg it and no one can catch me.
