Well, I was thinking about knives in this game. Maybe you could either choose a knife from the select weapon screen, or have it when you're out of bullets, or just change from weapon to knife by clicking a button, like 'k' maybe?

The problem with guns at close range: Using guns at close range is very tricky and your opponent almost always wins because when you're on attack you have to have a very quick shot to kill them. And on defense the same would happen.
The problem with spades at close range: Spades are your best bet at close range, but you can easily be heard and spotted when you swing your spade so your victim could get you easily.
The problem with grenades at close range: Let's face it, the grenades in this game suck. One time I threw 3 of them into this little house where an enemy was staying and it didn't kill him! After that I was shot by a camper. If grenades were to be a good close range weapon, you would have to make the explosion way bigger. But since that hasn't happened, grenades aren't very good for close range, either.
Positives for the knife at close range: I think the knife would be a very deadly close range weapon. It would be in the 5 slot and you could left click to throw it at an enemy and right click to go for a quick jab. You would have 3 knives with you and if you ran out you could restock at a command post if you were on ctf, tc, babel, other command-post based modes. And for devs, the art would be really simple. A black handle and cross and a silver pointy blade.
So that's why I think there should be knives in the game. Please leave comments below!
