Attack/Defend CP gamemode

Got a great new idea for the game?

Attack/Defend CP gamemode

So it's basically a tug of war, but only blue team attacks while green tries to stop them from capturing all the control points.

Blue wins when they capture all control points.
Green wins when a timer runs out, or blue team runs out of lives.

Control points could be replaced with something you must explode, like in MW3 demolition.

I think a modification of ToW pyspades script would do pretty much the same thing.

Meh. TOW is not oficial modification, and you probably should ask it's maker to code this. I think it whould not be so hard for him. Otherwise only thing you can do is beg him to give you the mod's code, so you can code this yourself. Sorry, but suggesting it like this is pointless.
I am russian brony and warhammer-fag. I also have bad case of "Why doesn't this crap works like it suppoused to?". Deal with it.

I understand Tek's idea.
It's akin to Soldat's 'infiltration' gamemode. Except they use flags, with only 1 team able to cap.
The defenders get points for every time period that they have the flag, while the attackers get points for capping the flag.

I like the idea, especially if we get some good maps setup with a decent fortress etc. Could be scripted into pyspades.

<@mikuli> the bad part in this plan is that it involves an already busy tea-drinking scone chomper with a monocle

IMO Defending/Attacking teams should alternate. Really bugs me when in TF2 how blue is always attacking and reds always defending.

I like the idea, it always seems because neither knows whether to attack or defend everything gets sloppy.

I was just thinking of a Battlefield Rush type of game mode with ace of spades... and it doesnt work too well in the servers where it is implemented with flags.
I think that if someone would create a this attack/defend type of game mode, it could become very popular as it plays to all of spades' strengths. In servers now, people have to compromise between building, destroying/objective play, or killing. This game mode would combign the satisfaction of building with defending, and the joy of destroying with attacking; and it would do this while keeping players focused on the objective.
