How would gameplay for the AK be different from the SMG?
How would gameplay for the Intervention be different form the semi?
No need for clone weapons with slightly different stats, especially not specific models or makes, seeing as we have such a great customization community.

Let's make this clear once again: THE WEAPONS ARE BALANCED.
They aren't 100% equal in every way, and that's how it's supposed to be. Rifle is for long-medium range, but skilled players can use it in close-encounters as well. It's the best weapon, IN SKILLED HANDS. Shotgun and SMG take rifle down easily at close/medium range, if you stop to think for a while and don't rush straight into sight of the rifleman like a retard. Sneak behind him, then take a shot. Or just spade him. Why do people even use the shotgun, it's completely useless. And not becourse other weapons are OP, or not becourse shotgunners can't play. It just doesn't fit into the large, open terrains of AoS. Even most of the custom-made maps aren't fit for the shotgun.
