nerf headshots and damage (and better sneaking)

Got a great new idea for the game?

nerf headshots and damage (and better sneaking)

Postby Tydosius » Sat Feb 11, 2012 10:42 pm

THIS THREAD IS NOW NO LONGER LEGITEMIT. DON'TPOST ON IT. i've thought about this argument.

and i just deleted the whole thing.

so anyway, check out my new thread, Remove Headshots. and since you didn't know, i thought about the argument.
i thought about how it would effect the gameplay. i actually didn't post about this until quite some time, and even then i
did a rethink of the argument and now i put the legitemit argument up.

forgot to mention, we know it would be more fun if we could spend more time on the heat of battle.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

why not? are headshots not overpowered? are shotguns used at all? do you really find it fun to spend less time on the battlefield?

i enjoy spending time on the battlefield and not getting headshoted at every chance. headshots ruin the game for me.

although im fine if headshots dealt 35. that would be ok.

1) Learn to play
2) SMG is much better than you'd think it is, in fact it's almost OP
3) Shotguns are used a lot, and they are a good rushing tool
4) Go play Battlefield if you want to play Battlefield
5) What the duck am I reading about sneaking

Rifle; Amazing at mid to long range, horrible up close.
SMG; Pretty good everywhere, not particularly amazing with the exception of jack hammering.
Shotgun; Horrible at long range, pretty good mid, amazing up close.

Sounds pretty balanced to me. Also, this is about the twenty seven thousandth "HURR RIFLE OP! NERF HEADSHOT!!!11!!!1!ONEONE!!ELEVEN!" thread. Enough already you fucking twits, this is not CoD. Headshots hurt.

OMG u liar

Rifle; Amazing at mid to long range, horrible up close.
- No its even good at Close combat it pwns with its 2-3 shoot kills and head-shots are much more then easy to make at close range

SMG; Pretty good everywhere, not particularly amazing with the exception of jack hammering.
-Pretty good everywhere ? wow whats with the brain ? At long u will be raped by semi and at close by shotgun and mid semi again. And better that i dont start with the stand accuracy ...

Shotgun; Horrible at long range, pretty good mid, amazing up close.
-Wow you made at lest the last one right

Ad hominem is ugly,IrishElf.

I actually agree about the rifle part.Someone with quick aim can pretty much own at all ranges, but the smg is,yes,an all-around weapon, that can be used to some extend at all ranges.

We don't need any sort of nerfs, but I think that shotgun headshots should do more or just as much damage than rifle headshots. Maybe its just me, but the rifle is a better headshooting tool than the shotgun in zombie servers, even when the shotgun is used at nearly point blank.

Ouuh.. why do i waste my time explaining to a guy that think everything is balanced in Aos.Smg needs improvements but a fine tune not run and gun but a bit off accuracy at standing.

Anyway because your balance feeling is Really bad or you just suck this upper text may look so for you " smg needs buff becuz i cant run n gun wit it "

Please use cover to protect yourself from bullets, it is a good idea to heavily utilize your map and radar too so you know if you are safe or not.

SMG is arguably a better weapon than semi at the moment, if you destroy an enemy's wall then your team will kill anyone behind it, plus the enemy are forced to move back. You should not compare weapons just on their ability to kill.

That said, the SMG and shotgun can compete with semi for kills, just not at 128 range. I would say the engage distance for SMG is <100, and for shotgun probably around <30
