Hi people! Jimmy here, and today I'm bringing you a new Game Mode Idea!

The Game Mode would be called something like Build, then boom!

Basically the Objective is - Each team has unlimited resources for 5 minutes to build up their own little secret Base/Hideout. Once that 5 minutes is over, it starts to get fun! You then have to destroy the enemies defenses to kill some of them and get to their Intel.

The other stuff like how many kills until the Round was over would probably be ... I dunno, 250? And the Round Time would be 5 minutes of Building Time and about 15 minutes of fighting time.

I hope the Mods, Devs and all those high up people in AoS possibly consider this idea! I think it's a good idea, what do you think? Comment below on what you think about this Mode!

There have been many people suggesting this (but no one ever bothered to make a thread like it), and I think that this idea would go great with the "Build and Destroy" concept.

Some good additions:
1.) A giant wall separating the two teams so that building is in secret
2.) Disabling building near or around the CP
3.) Disabling destruction from a far range
4.) (maybe) Disabling building after the 5 minutes are up
5.) Instant win after 1/2/3 intel caps
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

...there is already such a mode, where you only can kill with the spade. But this still could be implemented.

No ... You don't kill people only with Spade like in Zombie Mode, you can kill them with anything, like normal CTF or TDM. The difference to normal modes like that is that you have 5 minutes building time, where you can build whatever you like as you have unlimited blocks in that space of time.

I think all your additions to the idea are very good, but this was one of my first posts on the Forum because I'm more of a gamer, not a writer. I decided to try it out, that's why it wasn't too detailed. I think your additions would be very smart, as on your second addition, I think that'd be fair so it would be a big surprise. But, I guess you ARE the Moderator of this Forum, so you should know what you're doing. ^-^

Skilled griefers need only a few seconds to grief a castle. This mode should be mixed with the tower of babel mode. Or you would stay there without any blocks to cover amd everywhere around enemies.

Of course that would be dealt with. There could be an Admin selected by the Server owner in each one, and if they thought that someone was destroying the opponents base a bit too much, they would ban/kick for an amount of time. Of course, it'd take for ages to get enough people willing to look over the Server. We could have 10 people assigned on each Server, (I know, big number of people) who swap around every 20-30 minutes. :)

Tower of Babel is a game mode where each team tries to build a tower to reach a giant floating platform in the sky, where the Intel sits. You can build near your base, but you cannot destroy.

unlimited blocks? that's a builder's dream! a huge amount of building time is wasted because you run out of 50 blocks really fast...

i don't agree with disabling building after 5 mins, a skilled (and intelligent) griefer can destroy alot very quickly... alternatively a skilled sapper can do the same at surprising speed.

I don't see why not to build near or around the CP. having a huge fortress where the CP is is really nice. 1, it's a good fire base, 2, it's defensible/no spawn campers, 3,after those 5 mins builders can continue building and get more blocks easily.

Disabling destruction from far range isn't hte best ideal for this game mode, i think it should be allowed. with unlimited blocks a skilled builder can lay down a huge amount- perhaps 2500 blocks in 5 mins- no long range destruction means that you'd literally have super fortresses where people can camp at all day and that no one but a skilled sapper can destroy.

I like babel type construction. I really like how aloha babel servers work. you can't dig at the build area on your side, there'd never be a griefer problem.

Hi, Zephir. Like I said previously, I would have Admins looking over that type of mode, and if he see's a griever, he would ban him and if this is possible, he could somehow spawn back that creation. :)

Somehow? I see, you dont play AoS for a very long time(I dont call you a noob). The whole map can be easily and very fast saved by pressing F1. But loading a map takes a lot of time. Your idea isnt bad, but it would need very much work(especially the scripting and the administration).

The players should destroy ony their own blocks, that would be better than the babel mode building.

Players can't just destroy their own blocks, or it won't be Build, and Destroy. They must destroy the blocks to get into the enemy base. :)
