Classic Mode

This game mode will be for the AoS players who want to play classic. The list below me will help me explain this to you.

Changes

- Un-neon team colours (will be hard-coded)

-Only gen maps are compatible with this game mode

-Sprinting is disabled

-Auto-climb is disabled

-Click and drag (might) be disabled

-Semi will have its default stats

-There will be no SMG or shotgun

So do you like this idea or not?

Keep auto-climb, and maybe chuck in a few other maps then i'm happy.

it's a good idea, but maybe make it so you can do things like enable/disable auto-climb, because I think some people want to play without that too. also, would the textures be reverted to being low resolution, and semi with that one silhouette iron sight? that would be cool too. I would try to play it, because I can't play this game at the current state for more than 5 minutes

If youre really going to ask for a classic mode dont half ass it and say "autoclimb will be optional". Classic mode has to include everything it had before like the drunk cam, horrible graphics(Yes they were improved), old horrible and unmoddable sights, no autoclimb, and no C&D. And gen is the only map.

Holy duck yes. The game was much better then, and I'd love the chance to play it like it was.

I think is a great idea. It kinda feels like the direction the game was going in was great but got off the trail, so a Classic mode would be amazing since it would remove some of the new, less needed features.

Whoever opposes this idea is someone who didn't play the game back in early 2011.

It was an amazing experience, the maps were actually good and not just rectangles in the middle of the map with 90% of it being water that somehow damages you slowly. And there was actual teamwork, and actual forts to hide in, with people constantly improving them, and choosing to either lay back and defend or rush and snag the intel.

Also, it would be easy to do- start with an earlier version of the game, the time frame this mode would aim for, add bugfixes and allow server hosting.
