In addition to that, is he even allowed to edit it for personal use, and could he profit from it?
We're also moving to OpenGL since it's open source.

Make sure it is clearly visible somewhere in your archive.

commercial exploitation and prohibited without a commercial license.
Paratrooper wrote:Then why not use OpenGL instead of a modified Voxlap? I'm very sure that it will run quite smoothly since Voxlap doesn't use hardware acceleration (that I am aware of) while OpenGL is present in most GPUs.
Why edit an engine when there is already something out there that's better?

Besides that please try to keep 1 suggestion per thread so that people can tell from the title what it is about.
Gorman wrote:Please use the search function too. I can guarantee you that I have personally replied to at least 3 threads on the topics of lighting and muzzle flash. God knows how many others got through while I wasn't looking. Considering the creation date of this thread I can safely say that those threads were way before this one.
@Those discussing OpenGL: It is a library, and can be monetized safely. For example JLWGL uses OpenGL, and Minecraft uses JLWGL. Also, practically any game uses either OpenGL or DirectX or both, and quite a few games have been monetized over the years.
