Sounds good. It will be user dependant on rate of fire. Then you basically get a generic machine gun rifle.

I seem to be the only one to disagree with this, but that's ok. :p

I don't find this a good idea, because

A) I'm selfish. This would put me off, big time. I use recoil to balance my second shot, if the first one misses/does not kill. If the bullet fired too fast, I wouldn't be able to do that.

B) With the damage it has, there would have to be uber recoil, or you would be facing a gun with possible firing capability of an automatic weapon, and also with uber damage per shot.

^That's just me though. I've never been a fan of semi-automatic weapons. You empty your mag, then find yourself in a whole load of shit. I always prefer single action.
