Not necessarily, the game wouldn't have to process any additional blocks, and would only be erasing less then half of them. It's not like massive buildings are being taken out constantly anyways.

Well, then you have what happens now. When you break a bridge all blocks are erased. Maybe if the blocks are above water they just fade like now.

Also, even if it's on bridgewars, the bridge only gets destroyed once, that's maybe 5 seconds of lag, then the rest of the game is fine. Not much of an issue.

this would be awesome, it would make the game so much better, and enhance the idea of destroying buildings that the enemies have

Great idea. I would just say don't allow it on water. Real rubble would sink and possibly be swept away.

This sounds reasonable to me.

I suggested it to do indeed sink, appearing as water with the color of the block, and if another layer falls on it, then blocks starts to accumulate.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

If possible, as I said earlier in the thread, this could be a change which makes AOS a much better game, and radically changes some playstyles. But would it actually be possible?

Hopefully, just make it so blocks drop but then stop when they hit another one?

I just like AoS how it is, and don‘t want to change anything. :/

I‘d also rather build something again when it gets griefed than have to spade all the blocks, clear space, then build.

It's interesting, but if it's implemented, it would be nice to be a server option, not mandatory.

Cool Idea.
But when the block are falling down, players under it should be hurted (or killed... :) )
There are 10 types of humen, the ones who understand the binary system and the ones who don't.

Sorry, if my english is not so perfect, I'm German. Would be nice if you speak in simple english :)

If a bridge for example collapses with water below it, it should form a pile on the surface that sink with one layer per 1-2 sec. so, if a large bridge falls into water, it would taka a minute or so utill the bridge is completely gone.

The cool thing about this is that this would apply to tunnels too so you could collapse tunnels too, which would add a need for supports in tunnels...
