Gorman is right. This suggestion would only be a superfluous addition to the votekick system.
People don't pay attention to the chatbox that often. Maybe only a bit more now that there are longer respawn periods. There is a very obvious reason why people get votekicked off so quickly. The AoS playerbase ( a slightly unfavorable demographic, imo) sees a bluetext of a votekick and with it the accusers voting /y (usually more than one and if not someone will usually join in). Upon seeing this, others will jump onto the bandwagon and type /y which only leads to the domino votekick effect.
You want time to intervene in the hope that people can attempt to assuage to others their lack of innocuousness?
People are almost always arguing about aimbotters/griefers before/during a votekick. Whether they are innocent or not, this does little to mollify the flaw of the system. If anything, the time increase only allows for the person to continue their suspected griefing intentions.
