The Smg must have the abilities of the rifle. And rifle The abilities of Smg Duck+Stand(Stand is not a SMG ability) accuracy.

Rifles are weapons made for sniping and they best usages are for defending: bunkers , walls , forts etc.
SMG's are weapons made for Rushing and attacking usually the forts bunkers that are defended by Riflers.

The Smg, should have decreased clips of ammo(instead of 30, let's take something less than that).
Rifle, it's completely fine, you can actually get shot by smg'ers.
Smg needs more balance overall, rifle is good but may need some changes.

Greace, the Rifle can just so easily kill the smg. You can only get killed by smg if flanked. The Rifle is not used as it is used on the real battlefield. On the real battlefield, the rifle cannot move while shooting, atleast shooting accurately. It is farely harder to use in close combat. The shotgun is a fair weapon, It cannot kill from long range, and in close range it is very effective. But a rifle can easily outgun the smg. For Munit Eu 1 server, for example, most of the people use rifles, the ones who are on the top are usually rifles. The rifle is too strong, the accuracy is that powerful, that it is stealing the smg's job. The rifle is ment for killing the smg at long range, not close or medium range. The medium range should be dominated by the SMG and the close quarters combat should be dominated by the Shotgun.

The changes I want :

Smg-s firerate slightly downed, Decreasing spread while crouching or increasing accuracy while crouching.

The rifles accuracy downed while moving, jumping and increased while crouching. Or when crouching, the recoil isn't that hard. Also the recoil should be upped.

The shotgun is also pretty hard to use against the other weapons right now. All of the classes should have sidearms. Like pistols. They are about the accuracy and the range of the smg, but the fire rate of an rifle( maybe slightly higher ). This should make the shotgun easier, so when they are out of range, you can maybe defend yourself with the pistol. The pistols damage should be in a good ratio between the fire rate and the damage.

To tell you the total truth, I have to completely agree with the Cookie. I don't have any fancy-shmancy words to explain it, I simply tried my best with all the weapons and looked at the statistics afterwards.

Here is what I got:

60-80 kills with rifle/30 min
15-20 kills with SMG/30 min
5-10 kills with shotgun/30 min

And guess what, I did not play 30 min on each gun, this is just the average. Whenever I am playing AoS I know that I only choose SMG to be "cool" and get that adrenaline rush when I just storm the opposite team's side of the map. Whenever I want to play "serious", or to rise up in kill streaks I switch to rifle and usually achieve the top 3 on full servers within half an hour.

These are the facts, now it is up to Ben what to do with them.

I meted Ben all he said about the balance for next version is " Everything will be fine " So I dunno what this mean for the SMG and Rifle but I think this means changes.

So Back to topic ...
Greace its simple...
Rifle is good at Long , Mid and Close and that on Move , Stand , Crouch , Run and Jump
Smg is good at Mid and Close (thats ok) and that only on Crouch(only?! Even if it's a SMG?).

See? Rifle is universal for all Ranges and Movements. I wish its RoF would be lowered so it stops being a High Accuracy Rifle-Pistol , And lower the movement accuracy its unacceptable and unbalanced.

I think slightly decreasing the recoil on the SMG would make it do the trick. SMGs don't have all that much recoil in real life, and it would help it do its thing a little better. If that's too much, decrease the damage.

The shotgun's spread needs to be drastically reduced and the number of pellets increased slightly.

The rifle is fine, and the SMG is almost there. The shotgun's the real problem, since shotgun users would help counter the rifle but instead you're left with two real choices.

Look to example at some of the good players out there, some uses rifles, and some others uses the smg.
But, what exactly could improve it without taking the old rifle back.
Of course, I experience lag and at some points even bugs.
I can't say anything that would make this game better than it already is.

Smgs in real life do have a lot of recoil. They're lighter and smaller than normal rifles, but have a high rate of fire. Remember, bullets are fired with explosions. Small, lightweight weapons have less weight to counteract those explosions, so naturally they kick more.
