The final solution to the rifle problem?

Got a great new idea for the game?

The only problem I see hear is that you people are bitching about missing shots. How about you get better at the game? I don't have any problem kicking people's butts with the rifle.

In my opinion, damage should actually rise over distance. Why? Cause in the game, every fog distance rifle shot counts. Interceptions at close range often mean failure. So my advice is too reduce damage at closer ranges.

You don't seem to understand. What we are talking about is when we have the crosshair exactly in the enemy's head, with no chance to miss, and the shot simply doesn't regiter or it misses because of the new spread introduced in .75. The rifle still remains a good weapon, but it is not the same as before.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

I think this is a good change, the thing about the game being better when the rifle was super accurate is because it was only the rifle, but even then it honestly wasn't that great of a game. the other weapons will probably get damage drop off at range too, so it is not like they would be better than the rifle at range.

just let the game progress for once, it's been the same thing for practically a year now and it's getting boring

I've recently adjusted to the new rifle somewhat and I can be effective with it...

BUT:

That's what I want back. If we have to get rid of them fogline headshots to do it, that's OK by me.

So what you are saying is that we remove headshots. A shot in the head by an rifle at any distance should be a instant head shot and that should never be changed.

This is just a rant angainst long distance camping.
So we would need to wait for a player to get out of the fog range just so we can kill him with a headshot. Just because you, and Ben don't like to be killed by campers or by rifle users at all doesn't mean that every one just stops using the rifles primary usage. That is the long distance(fog line) headshot.

This will force us to go out of our camping spot and to become easy targets to an SMG user.

But don't get me started over the shotgun now. It is in a bad enough state. This will probably erase the shotgun. And more people will use the SMG since the combat will be mostly close to mid range. The rifle will turn into an useless camping weapon.

Exactly. There's no point in balancing weapons if people aren't happy.
