New Game Mode

Hello! to begin with, I'll tell you about the map. card will be large in size. but unlike other cards, it will be rectangular.
blocks. blocks in this mode can be destroyed, but only some. a wall, walls, floors, roofs and trees. the rest can not be destroyed. Blocks not can be put.
after the update in this mode, you can fly on a helicopter ride on a tank and a jeep. what would win in this mode, you must capture the enemy base and everything related to her milestones.

You should also post this in Russian. I think there are Russian speakers on this forum that can translate this better than Google.

I understood this enough to read the words 'after the update in this mode you will be able to fly in a helicopter' 'tank' and 'jeep' witch was enough to tell me no.
Please Warphammer, i guess you dont understand English witch would make this forum very hard to understand with google translate as bad as it is but can you please try to read the 'do not suggest list' before posting any more idea's.

Alright, translating the PM I got (I made up a list on my own that I think helps to follow, since there are several different ideas contained within, and it does not change the point of the message as a whole):

There should be made a new game-mode involving some or (hopefully) all of these ideas:

1) The map should be rectangular (to differ from the "square" form we have now, though which side should be shorter and which longer isn't specified in the message). This is extra important!

2) The only blocks that would be possible to destroy would be the ones built by players and only by grenades thrown by the enemy team. The blocks created by the server admin, or if it is a generated map the computer itself, should not be available for desctruction to neither of the teams.

3) There should be control points that, when controlled, give advantage of team members been able to land on those in a helicopter directly, instead of having to run through the entire map. (I, bov930527, personally believe that this would be easier to implement just by having players spawn there, since helicopter doesn't seem to fill any other purpose, judging by the PM warphammer has written, than just landing teammates on these control points).

4) For choosing every weapon there should be an additional "thing". For example, when choosing rifle you should get ability to camo yourself (meaning that when you press, lets say R, the colour of your body will instantly change to the one of the blocks you are standing on), if choosing SMG you will get a medpack that will heal teammembers when standing close to them and also give ability to ressurect fallen comrades. When choosing shotgun you should get an ammo pack that, when standing close to your freinds, replenishes their ammo counters.

Okay, I think that's all of it.

Okay, now i can understand it, here is my thoughts on it:
We already have maps smaller than the standard square (Pinpoint, Island, ect) and simply by turning on water damage do people have to stick to the land. Reprogamming a new mode with a smaller map would be a waste of time that Ben could spend doing better stuff when a similar effect can already be achived.
The 'god blocks' that you speak of in section 2 that players cannot destroy already exsist on psypades servers but the idea of only being able to break blocks with 'nades confuses me. It is alot harder to get rid of blocks accuratly with grenades and what is there to then stop people bricking other people in or making inapropriate objects that are extreamly hard to get rid of? Also it makes the spade practicly redundant.
Simiarly, the command points (or whatever you want to call them) have already been introduced (in the game modes tc and tow) these are points in witch you capture then spawn at the one closest to the enemy (if it dosent work exactly like that i apoligise, i dont play on them much). They may not exsist exactly how you would want them but they are there.
As for the changes you want to make to the weapons im not going to comment as i would only be repeating what people have said before about adding weapon attachments.
My main problem with this idea however is the lack of objectives. This is apparantly the idea for a new game mode but you have not accually said what people would have to achive, just a few features that you would put into this mode.
Again please read the do not suggest list and maybe even some other posts in this section before putting your idea's forwards again, it will help you get a better idea of what people in this community appreciate and how to better organise your idea's.
On the other hand, kudos for not letting the language barrier stop you from taking part :)

Some additions to this mode from our friend warphammer:

1) I did not specify the goal of the gamemode as I didn't have any idea in the first place. But now after some consideration I can say how victory will be achieved in this gamemode: by controlling these control points. For each control point that a team controls it should be given 25 points every 5 seconds. Whichever team reaches 3000 points first wins.

2) The buildings should be destroyed by nades, and thus making spade useless. Have you ever seen a concrete wall breaking upon been shot at? And a spade in the middle of a battlefield looks... not that good from my point of view.

3) Some words about spawning at control points. Only one of the teams should have this privilege, and all it's team members will spawn at only control points. If the team no longer has any control points the opposite team grants an automatic victory. That is why the heat in close combats will take a lot of time. Therefore desctruction should only be possible with nades, comprising that a team's nades can't destroy its own blocks. This is first and foremost a war against griefing. Second, it's realism.

4) I like the idea of this gamemode been played at map that already has smaller area (and I especially like the idea of water giving damage). It is obvious that this is against camping. Honestly, I myself hate campers and not been able to see where the shots are coming from.

5) 10 seconds respawn should be normal. Off course the wave respawn is very good as it is, but it wont give the medics ability to work "equally".

6) Some weapon ideas (for this gamemode only):
a) Rifle and SMG damage should be increased by 10 points.
b) Shotgun damage should be increased by entire 20 points, making it more useful.
c) Recoil of the rifle should be dramatically increased to reduce number of "good" snipers in this gamemode.

7) There should also be "important" people. For example a general, which will be a first player to enter the server and thus been granted rank general. This "general" should sit tight in some hole in a bunker, because if the opposite team kills him/her 3 times, it wins. This all gives us not a new mode called "Landing", but a new mode called "Realism", which is also what we will start to refer it to as of now. I understand that all this can't be fitted into one mode, but if some of the additions are made I am sure that at least someone will be playing this mode. Back to the generals. They should be able to give orders to soldiers. Like "go here", "go there". But a soldier has rights to disobey these orders.

8) In order for everything to be good with soldiers there should be squads. Every random player will randomly be placed in a random squad. First player to enter the squad will be given a rank of "Sergeant". If sergeants wants to, he/she should be able to pass their duty onto a player they choose from their squad. General may also be able to give orders to sergeants that in their turn give orders to soldiers.

9) In order to prevent chat been overused, global should be disabled and each team can only right messages that its own members can see.

Concrete is in fact an extremly weak material that breaks upon being shot by a gun of almost any calibre.


Also why would people follow orders? I see no reason for people to listen to their commanders instead of going off to do their own thing.


Increasing recoil would not affect the amount of snipers ingame, it is easy to headshot your target on the first shot. Also sniping and counter sniping is a huge part of this game, i see no reason to try to remove it.

I have other thoughts on your latest idea's aswell but I am tired now so will share them someother time :3
