AoS isn't build and build. It's Shoot and Build. So get over griefing, your creations don't last forever (Unless you take a picture). Servers change maps getting rid of your buildings, SO GET OVER IT. Currenlty the best way to stop griefing is TK's.

It's one thing if someone from the other team destroys our structures, but I think we have a right to be upset when someone from our own team sabotages our defenses.

Or votekicks.

This is pretty much the only solution that wouldn't ruin the game. Too bad most votekicks go ignored.

Griefing is rarely a problem. Building get destroyed anyway. But when a griefer destroys cover your in and you get killed its gets on my wires. Get rid of all bridge maps and the griefers will leave.

Nah, OP's solution is just lame and abusable. Plus griefers are only a way of indicating how weak your structures are.
Also, if votekicks go ignored, go to a server that is more hostile to griefers (i.e. a buliding server).
Plus, simple combat structures e.g. a 2 block high wall rarely gets griefed. Too much effort, not enough crumbling. Griefers tend to stick to spawn location, where combat structures are close to useless.
And as others said, just get over it. Servers change maps anyway, everything is forgotten.
