Hello everyone
In most AoS servers,the sky is usually a plain old solid color(no this is not a suggestion about the sun or moon >_>)

and in certain games like....call of duty and battlefield,and most other shooters. they have ambiance,
Anti Aircraft fire, aircraft flying around,sometimes weather like rain,or snow,or even fog.

and i was thinking AoS could use something like this,maybe just sporadic burst of AA fire,and distant explosions,nothing too distraction,and very different from standard weapon sounds,so you wouldnt mistake the noises as an enemy and go of on a wild goose chase.this is just my idea,id like to hear yours also :)
so opinions are welcome.
and please dont execute me because i said call of duty and battlefield.

I'm going to say "no" on this one, I would not enjoy fake gunfire noises as they'll distract me from where the enemy actually is.

EDIT: Read your post wrong. Thought you mean ambiance like the Portal 2 game sounds in the background.

I'm going to say no to this. The lack of ambiance has an ambiance all its own. The tense moments of sneaking behind enemy territory in dead silence before having it broken by an eruption of enemy gunfire would be replaced with a barrage of random noise.

Eeeeh, no.
But I would like to see something like, when you see an enemy grenade, you yell "GRENADE" and other teammates can hear you (but enemy can hear it too), or when you take SMG damage while looking at who is firing, you yell "SUBMACHINEGUNNER!" or "TAKING SMG FIRE". Would only add more depth to gameplay, and I dont really see cons about that.

I thought you were asking for ambient lighting. As the fog goes darker, blocks go darker, too.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

It's is already there silly. On any server with more then a few people you can hear stuff off in the distance from other players.

I dont need fake gunfire and explosions when im trying to listen for real gunfire/explosions.
