Game Mode Idea: Mercenaries

Got a great new idea for the game?

Game Mode Idea: Mercenaries

Mercenaries is a game mode that mixes that requires team mates to be extremely careful with the teams points and not recklessly die in vain.

the objective of the game is for your team to get 2000 points.

each team starts with 1000 points. when you spawn you borrow 5 points from the team bank. when you kill someone you take all the points they have borrowed. at any point you can go back to base and give all points (except 5) to your team in exchange for Health, Ammo, and Grenades.

if your team has no more points to spend then you are unable to respawn until a teammate turns in points they get from killing enemies.

if a player Switches teams or leaves the server then all points on him will be given back to the team.

you can see how many points a player has on them if you look at the scoreboard. you may also point at a player to see the amount of points they have on them.

to prevent griefing, every time you die your spawn time will be increased until you go X amount of time without dying.

This might prove to be both an extremely large problem and a great, fun gametype. You see, when people join random servers, they don't usually look at anything but the ping. If someone were to join a server of this gamemode and repeatedly die, then you'd have teammates votekicking for Player1 being a deuce or Player2 for purposely dying to ruin their team's game. It would create a whole new pedigree of griefer. Instead of destoying blocks, they destroy the team score. Good idea, but needs more thinking through.

that is why the spawn timer will get increasingly longer each time you die unless you get more kills or wait a while.

Still won't make much of a difference. Most people rage when the timer is long, but unless the person is having a particularly bad day, not many people do much more than get pissed at the timers.

This could work... but what about if you continuely kill yourself (say like 5 times) then you are automatically disconnected from server.
Highest kill streak: 78: Goonhaven.org3

Best servers: Aloha intel rpg, Last team standing.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)
