Got a great new idea for the game?

well, i was looking a voxlap today.

and i noticed that the maps are so much taller. I mean, EXTREMELY taller.

like the map has to be 512x512x512, and not whatever the current map size is. 512x512x100(my estimate, i know im wrong.)

well, why can't aos maps be that tall?

the only con i can think of is the current programs for heightmaps would have to be changed to that it limits them to the current default height, but leave vast potential for skyscrapers so tall that compared to now you wouldn't be able to see the top through the fog.

The current map height make already big mountains or skyscrapers, raising to 512 max would be way to high. We don't need making the Eiffel tower or the Burj Dubai or whatever other building at real size

Good point, maybe having the choice between standard maps and vertical maps would be good

I believe it's possible, in the first blog post ben said he limited the map size for V.01, I wouldn't mind it being raised. This could make some maps interesting.
