Well, if it is the way Lehma suggested, and it is changeable for the grenade, then why the hell not?

Silencers really wouldn't help stealthy players much, and IMO it would mostly help griefers and spawnkillers.

they might be alright, but give them some downside, I think most games usually have it so they get more damage drop off, or have more bullet drop. so it might be good to implement those things first(if they are going to be) but I wouldn't mind, it's a nice idea.

i dont think it do, cause when it needs to shots to kill, its not very sneaky.

Personally I think this might add a extra layer of complexity that wouldn't clash well with the games overall simplicity. Perhaps having one specialized silenced weapon like a pistol which would be the infiltrators weapon of choice. Otherwise adding a silencer option would just require all weapons to have an extra model with the silencer and just add a bit too much variability to people who use them.

Silenced weapons would still be one shot head shot kill, you know. They just encourage you to be stealthy and headshot more.
