Shooting Animations

Postby Sniper101 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 9:10 am

Nothing too difficult or revolutionary. You have 2 different models for each weapon, when you shoot, the game quickly switches between these 2 models. What does this allow to do? It will allow us to create muzzel flashes (version with and without block muzzle flash) and shooting animations. What do you think about this idea?

No I meant that the 'pull to chamber a bullet into ya gun' part of the gun moves forwards and backwards everytime you shoot, for ultra-realism.

Well I dont understand fully what your saying (Whered punctuation go?) but Providing that this is a small game at the moment, and being a blocky shooter, shooting animations just wouldnt look right.

Why doesn't it just load in a second model as the muzzle flash to make it easier on the computer?
