[REQ] Combined model viewer

Postby Krooper » Fri Jul 20, 2012 10:16 am

Often, after I made a model (doesn't matter if it's a gun, or body part), I really wish I could see how it would look in-game (does it fit the proportions, how would the colors look, etc.), but without actually going in-game. And I mean to be able to see the whole player model (combined body-parts-models) holding a weapon (just like if it was in-game). Got the idea? Can anyone do this? I'm sure the utility'll make most modders' lives a frikin' lot more easier, won' it?

If someone didn' get me, then in simpler words, it's something that will put all the models together on screen for viewing.

You can do this in Qubicle.
http://www.qubicle-constructor.com/

CAUTION you need to buy it to be able to import, and save your work IIRC.

Very worth the money, he has a voxlap edition just for AOS, and a masters edition like I own.

Here is a template I made for you guys:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1660874/Downlo ... mplate.png
File HERE
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1660874/Downlo ... mplate.zip

Install the qubicle demo
Unzip my template anywhere you want
doubleclick on the file you just unziped...
That is is!

You can save your work, but you can not export to AOS unless you at least buy the voxlap edition.

It really rocks! I make some pretty cool maps with it.

Well, qubicle's paid (demo doesn't count, cuz almost everything's unavailable), and I'd like a free program + simple, so it wouldn't eat much operation memory, and of course, simple in use. Moreover, quibicle shows it a bit too small, and I want to have a huge frame with a 3D overview of a model (pretty much like slab6). But thanks anyways, guess, I'll have to stick to the qubicle.
