Can you make it so that you can overlay an image over the heightmap, or have a grid for the heightmap editor, because I am creating the heightmap from an image. Or perhaps importing the heightmap from an image
(doodad editor is hard to use, SLAB6 was much better)
Can you let us use our own heightmap gradient?
Like we can set it to black-white or pink to yellow?
EDIT: How do i place doodads on the map?

@Jasper2428 - I do have it on my list to have a height map overlay. Height Map gradients were custom in previous releases, but has now been preset due to technical requirments that not all gradients, or color choices will achieve.
At this time the doodad is random, but there will be a new system for manually placing doodads, which will be what you are looking for.

@Corn99 - Yes, you can create maps from scratch, but due to some of the simplification of how the system is made to make it easier to make maps, not all map types and styles can be created, just for instance, at this time overhangs or floating land, ie caves and such can not be created within the program at this time, but it is in the works to expand capabilities to better suite all map styles.

@Everyone, I apologize for the huge delay, once we moved out of summer, my free time has dwindled to almost nothing, kids, work, kids, work, kids... work... my head is going to pop! :D, I am still working on the procedural generator, and hope to have something soon to release!

If the model-editor would work without hidden blocks, I would only use Blockman2D for all my maps.

it was working fine earlier but it just stoped working now.
the files are not opening the applications not opening please help.

You may want to go into your documents folder, backup the blockman2d folder, and then uninstall and reinstall. You can also try moving the files out of the blockman2d folder in documents, it may be crashing trying to read something corrupted in that folder. If that does work, just slowly move the files back until you find the offending one.

@FaultCheck, I was expecting something like the Starcraft II map editor ^^.
A terrain tool.
> Height/cliff brush

lol, well I'm not a group of a programmers, nor does this monitarily add to my resources to open up the possibility to devote the level of time that would be required unfortuantly. This is hobby-ware for now, so it's based on what extra time I personally have that I'm not completely fried between raising two little hellions, working to pay bills, and managing everything else that murphy deems to go wrong. I'm sorry to disappoint, but some of what you have listed is on my list, and will sometime in the future be part of the program.

actully i just deleted everything apart from my doodads and maps and reinstalled thanks for the help!
