A new set of Forum Rules

Postby TheGrandmaster » Mon Jan 30, 2012 8:20 am

We, the staff, have just implemented a fresher set of forum rules.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1

All based around the Golden Rule: "Be excellent to one another, don't be annoying"

We did this to simplify the reasons for warning/banning, giving us more time to work on community events and the like. This system has been implemented in the IRC channel #AoS for a while now, we like it there so we are transferring it here. Those found to be stretching the rules will be dealt with harshly, we want a constructive attitude amongst the players and forum go-ers here, not one of putting others down.

Also note, that this is to further combine actions on AoS IRC channels with actions on the forums.

And i still haven't read them.
I'm retarded or something... :P

Well, actually this isn't surprising,
since this topic has only <100 views.

Is it necroposting if you bump your own thread with good reason?

Depends on what the thread is, and why it needs bumping.

There's a point where "pointing out spelling mistakes" becomes off-topic and a bit spiteful, so yes it could be counted if it gets in the way.
Best thing to do is spend time on your posts checking your spelling. Sounds dumb, but saves a whole lot of hassle.
