Forum Downtime (21/06/2012)

Hey everyone,
Today (probably late afternoon GMT) the forums shall be closed for around ~30 minutes.
This is because we are performing a forum shuffle to make the index of the place look a lot shorter/neater and re-organising the structure to make things a bit more logical and hopefully easier to use.

As of early afternoon today, I will complete my final exam (yay) so I can throw off my inactive-ness and start properly working around the community again.
Keep your eyes peeled for another announcement later which'll sum up what has changed (everywhere) and how it affects you guys.

Hopefully this will make the forums better. Anyway luckily I don't have to sit around spinning on my chair, goodnight.

Back on topic, will these 'shuffles' effect any already existing content in the forums.
Its very useless for me to ask now, I'm over in Australia, and in a couple hours I'll find out, but what exactly are you planning to do.

Content will move to the sections they belong in. There will be some combining of sections, and some are just re-structuring - which forum is a sub-forum, what goes in the root of the section etc.
It'll all become clear later.

well i think that the mods and modspacks should be combined to be one mods section.

Modifications (similarly with Mapping) will be boiled down into 1 main section with sub-forums.

The root of the section can be used for discussion/requests/etc while there will be sub-forums for the specifics - Mods will have Mod Packs/Separate parts as two sub-sections, while Mapping will have Released Maps and Tutorials/Resources as two subsections.

It'd make the main page much neater, as it'd show just one section rather than 3 or 4 for each of those.
