Thoughts on Clan Impersonation

Well, there's another Brazilian (either that or Polish, obviously) clan called Delta Force, with the [DELTA] clan tag. Don't know if that counts, but it's annoying as heck.

EVERY "DELTA/DELTA FORCE" CLAN EVER...IS ANNOYING.

Like, Ooh! Yeah! We're only like the BEJILLIONTH Delta Force clan on the internet/some specific game. How dare some other clan steal our TOTALLY ORIGINAL NAME!!!!!!

I can see why it would be annoying, especially if you try to create a reputation for your clan as being good/nice people, and a troll/griefer tries to destroy that.


What would be nice would be some sort of clan tag system to go along with the registration system. Something along the lines of having a drop-down list of clan tags, and upon selecting one, you had to enter that clans password to actually use it.

I've literally seen this same complaint on more games than I can count on one hand. This EXACT same complaint. ZOMG! We're like the real Delta/Delta Force! How dare these other guys take our totally original name!

If their clan name was something like...I don't know...Quackaholics (top of my head) or something and someone else "stole" their name then yeah, I could definitely empathize. But this doesn't sound like "impersonation". It sounds like these guys just picked the most overused clan name ever and are surprised that someone else is using it.

Yeah, it bothers me bit, but if your clan is stong and good, you should have no problem proving that those poeple clearly dont represent your clan.

anyhoo, I've never really had a problem with C.I.
I have seen some, but when I ask some are just innocent deuces who liked the name and who are totally unaware with the clan.
Like for example I've seen a guy with a USAB Tag, he had no idea their was a clan called USAB, but he just did it for the Real United States Airborne, you know, the one in service? Same thing with typical names like XxX and '' DELTA '' which attracts deuces, given its military connection.

It really depends, if a troll took my name/my clan tag, I'd be mad, but if a good guy took my name/clan tag, I wouldn't be as mad (I'd still be angry, but, you know, not as much)

If you have any complaints about our members, make a new topic in our subsection. Every single member in our clan who we deemed unworthy has been kicked. For example, thecabosbastone and the killatore for stealing other people's gun skins, and F1avour for extremely obvious reasons.

I highly recommend you play nice.

On a side note, how original can you get with clan names in a war game? Sure, there's Delta Force isn't that original, but it is original on this game, and I never once said "OMG Y U STEAL MY NAME." I tell them that there is already a clan of the same name, and that I'd appreciate if they would change it, taking into consideration that they're the newer and smaller clan. Anyways, RonPaul, I don't think you're in any position to call people annoying.

U mad bro? First of all I was not even on your forums. I was afk and my 12 yr old brother decided to act like a moron and went on my account. Next the Komrades. It was a small simple Joke that really wasn't a massive deal. But they took it serious so I will respect that. And also mr. Smarts I wasn't talking about your overall clan. More so on the fact how many people use it. And my well known stupidity you mean? Not stupidness.. Since when Have I been stupid? Some Komrades found me annoying when I made stuff for them & helped them, but now everything is pretty chill. The simple fact that you took all that time to write a nice little shiz-fulled hate letter really means something doesn't it? I really don't try to make people this mad but I guess I did over a couple of words. 0.o
