Ace Launcher sneak preview

Ben posted on his Twitter a picture of Ace Launcher, a program which we'll use to join servers.

Anyone noticed the "Username / Forum Account" field?

I'd expect it to be only "Forum Account" because we ARE going to log in the game using our forum accounts, right? Or did something get changed?

It looks like its functionall and all, but I do wish it was a bit more, you know, fun!
I understand that Ben has alot of things to do, but i would like it if he managed to make the launcher a bit more aos themed in the future instead of this grey window that it currently is

Well, I'd rather it work properly than look pretty. Once it's fully functional, then worry about aesthetics.

Anyway, it looks pretty cool and authentication will probably cut down on hackers/aimbotters, but will it be optional, can servers force you to be authenticated and can you still change your in-game name? I rarely play as "Influx" outside of Sham's and Aloha servers and I'd like to be able to carry on doing that.

This is something that I really want to know.

If the registration system will use the forum account name, then i'll have to PM an admin to change my forum name to "Chase_UC".

I really hope that you'll able to change your IGN after you register.
