Bringing back the old AOS.

For all things AoS!

Bringing back the old AOS.

Is this possible? It would be nice to have a few servers return to the older versions of AOS that were not the steaming pile of feces that is .75.

Plus, I think it would send a hilarious message to Ben.

.41 was hosted a while ago. I'm not sure if anyone else still hosts it.

I would also like it, I can't play this game for more than a few minutes now, it was somehow more fun and interesting when it was just one weapon, and no bad maps. I'm fine with this game getting more stuff added, it just seems like the current additions are very boring

It would be nice if we had a reference, being able to actually play our favorite older version so we can better understand why .75 sucks so much dock. Instead, we only have nostalgia to go off of.

Which is all the more reason to revisit.

EDIT: But I can still say with certainty that .75 sucks.

Why have the community got to be ungrateful assholes?
.75 brought lots of cool new features

Because anything done by anybody else was WRONG. Ben knows nothing about this game he made and is terrible at controlling it.

(Sarcasm).

Because in the opinion of many, those cool new features were offset by the unbalancing of the weapons. Most people were content with the weapon balance in .70, which was about as close to perfect as ben could've gotten. In .75, he appears to be catering to SMG users heavily, what with the buffing of the SMG's damage, and the new accuracy model, which has turned the shotgun from a reliable close to mid range choice into the ****ing lottery (a bit of a hyperbole, but still). Ben also should've learned long ago that touching the semi in any way involving accuracy will get an instant flaming from 90% of the estabilished playerbase; the rifle had a small degree of spread in one of the versions (I wanna say .50? .54?), and the whole time I felt like the bullet was going anywhere except where I wanted it to go, which is fine enough IRL but in AoS it's a rageworthy thing. The game is far from broken, but the weapon balance needs to be brought back IMO.

I agree with weapon balance being perfect in .70. But bringing back old AoS? What so we want to spam the spacebar to cover terrain again? AoS is clearly a better game now than it was then

Just because he made it does not mean;
A. That he has as much practical experience as others
B. That he can accurately gauge balance and the effects changes will have on gameplay
C. That he can even envision how the community and game could possibly grow
