I still don't get how children at that age can handle pistols.
CoD is out of the question (unless he watched all these shitty machinima montages) because he got no PS3 yet.
AoS neither, because AoS got no pistols (yet).
I wonder if that kid will still get friends? I smell an Al-Qaeda terrorist here.

Well, you know what? This kind of situtuation is getting normal in Vietnam; it happens literally EVERYDAY. But atleast noone died from pistols or AK shota yet: only knifes, or sharp objects.
But mostly all the cases were caused by shortage of money. Do you know internet cafes?(or something like that) Most gamers go play in there. For a REALLY long time. Guess what? At some point, they're out of money. What will they do if they have no money? Here's a list:
-Robbing
-Kill people for money
-Steal stuff
-Kill their own parents
-blah blah blah.

This happens mainly on addiction. Once you got addicted, you can't let go.
Ontopic, Al-Queda will want that kid. Alot.

Welcome to the 21st century. In about 20 years we'll see newborn infants strangling their mothers who just gave birth to them for not breastfeeding or something.

The future is scary, one day, children will take over the world, and once they reach 13, they get executed by their younger brethren... Eeeew....

Some people expecialy kids are just weird. Just coz his father didnt want to buy him a ps3 he gets mad and rage quits then kills him. Good thing that i aint like that. When i was a little kid i was ok when my father didnt buy me something that i wanted. Children realy need to learn that their parents cant buy certain things. But a 4-year old. I mean wth is wrong with that kid. I have been playing on my PC since 2006 and the addiction level i have is realy low. Not that i was play for an hour than i stooped. Im on my PC almost the whole day but my addiction level is low. Some children realy need to see a shrimp.

Pretty much every normal gamer: Could play a whole day, but average-low addiction.
What's wrong with these kids?

Well said demo. All my life i've been stuck with very old PCs (sadly my first one was when i waas 6 years old. Been addicted to pc games ever since), never had a console other than a PSP which I regret wanting now because I can see it was a waste of time and funds. Even though I was angry that I had a lame PC which couldn't play many games, while everyone around me had a good one, I'm glad now that I did not have that luxury, thanks to parents not wanting to spoil me. Otherwise my addiction would be boosted to unbelievable levels and I would eventually have catastrophic school performance.
This reminds me of the time I saw a post on failbook where there was a collection of kids's statuses where they were b**ching at their parents because they didn't get a car or an iPad. Spoilness level over 9000.

That's kinda how my life went too. Young children need to learn that they can't get anything they want, or else they turn in spoiled deuce making fun of others with less money and stuff even though the spoiled deuce didn't earn that money at all.
Besides, you get bored of each thing after a while, you need to play entirely with something after you want something.

This is why IMO Parents should follow game ratings, and Do not what-so-ever allow their kids on the internet until they are out of elementary school. Some (like me) end up turning out fine, but there are a lot of kids who don't understand how addicted they are.

I mean, even when I first got into the internet when I was in 4th grade, it was addicting too me. Thankfully I had outdoors interests that kept me going out, but someone who lives in an urban area may end up spending all their time out of school on the internet.

I think the real tragedy here is no one is mentioning he placed a fully loaded hand gun next to a four year old.

Might just be a stereotype, but the middle east is a relatively dangerous area, so carrying a handgun may be the norm, and from the sounds of the story the dad had just walked in and was taking off his outerwear when the kid ran up and took the gun. Yes however it is sad that this could happen.

I'm part of the younger generation (13) and I know that I live in a messed up era. Hardly 10% of the people in my grade will get anywhere in life. Even though i love my video games, video games are messing people up, big time.

BTW, this would never happen with Xbox ;)

A young child is able to successfully shoot a gun because their hands don't shake as much as someone older.

Also, that article blames the video game itself for the cause and effect. The parents of the child are to blame.

For example, if a child gets in trouble for something at school such as bullying or even swearing for the younger ones, where do you think they learn it from? Sure, you can say that television has a huge part to play but guess who has the power to regulate what the child watches.
