Tips For Rifleman?

Postby WarlordOfPancakes » Thu Apr 26, 2012 3:25 am

I've been playing rifleman when i started playing AOS a year ago, and i take short breaks from playing AOS ever since.

Can anyone here tell me some tips so i can improve on rifleman? Especially headshots and maybe some way to control the spread of the rifle. Thanks :D
One shot can make a difference.

Crouching only slows you down, it has no effect on spread, only recoil.
Go for the head.
Try to flank the enemy when possible (specially agaisnt SMGs)

Try keep a fair distance from players using SMGs and Shotguns.

When there's no-one near you or looking at you and your going for a headshot, take time to pace your shot because if you rush, you would probably miss and you might alert players.

Try using stealth, Do not engage more enemy's than you can handle, if you see a large group and are determined then strike from a far location and try to take out the back of the group first.

Don't aim down the sights when you don't need to.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

I used to use the rifle for long-range encounters but the terrible hit-detection just screws me over, so now I just use it for CQC while hoping I'm lucky enough to get a proper headshot.

Shoot people in the head. That is all.
EDIT: Also, make sure to blame the rifle accuracy every time you get killed and make plenty of threads to complain about it.

Always hug high ground, you have the greatest advantage up there. All their heads are always revealed torwards you, allowing you to pick em off if you can. Unless they have another rifleman who is better than you, and you die.

Tips:
1.) Keep to the high ground
2.) Take your time. A good shot is a headshot.
3.) Don't engage more than 2 enemies. Especially if one or both have the rifle too.
4.) If you are engaging 2 enemies, crouch. The less recoil the better. It can save your life. If you are only attacking one guy stand, in case you need to run away fast.

-Aim for the head
-Shoot fast
-Shoot accurate
-Do not take a shot at close range, if you aren't 90% sure it will hit
-Use cover and sneak as much as possible
-Have a good distance between you and the enemy, the more far away the better. Now with SMG steamrolling in every range, the fog is your best friend.
-Always go for those who are the greatest threat to your team. Remember, teamwork is magic.
-DO NOT run straight in the no-mans land. As i said before, the fog is your best friend.
-Rather than going for the intel, let someone else take it and cover him instead. No-one gives a shit about points anyway.

stay back from smg users.
hide and move a round after every shot, as every one can see your bullets on the map.
dont try to take on more than 2 enemy at once.
shoot from the sides and above or from a under ground hide, shooting at the enemy head on will get you killed.

run when you have to cross cover, wiggle side to side and time your jumps to be a harder target, smg users need to crouch be for thay can shoot at range,a rifle should only get 1 shot at you.

Like hob said, a headshot is really the only shot you want to get. Also, believe in yourself. I know that sounds gay, but i dont know how to say it better. Anyway, if you think its gonna hit, then take the shot. I've seen many people who aim for too long and get sniped. I'm not saying to not aim, but aiming for too long is a bad idea in this game. Also, practice helps a lot. If you can practice, and get the feel of the aiming, you can generally make headshots instinctively.

Make sure u have cover of 2 blocks in height so you can crouch and be unseen.
If no one sees you, take your time and aim for the head. If you fire right away, you might miss and people will shoot at you.
If people ARE aware of you and have their cross-hairs on your bunker, use crouch and slink away behind stacks blocks or un-crouch for about one quarter of a second and fire at them. ( I like using the second choice ).

Always check your map for shots.
