Is It possible to play AoS without installing it?

Postby Falcon » Sat Jan 21, 2012 1:13 am

I'm just wondering. Is it possible for AoS to run without the installer like just putting the "Ace of Spades" folder in your C:// thing? If there is can I know the way?

Yes. If you go to the "I'm An Idiot" folder and copy the installation there it should work ;)

No :/ Ace of Spades requires those files to run on each individual computer.

You might be able to run it off a flash drive though.

Falcon: yes it's possible
but why would you need to run it without the installer?

I used to run aos from my USB stick

Well.... Lets just say that my dad is overprotective and doesn't want me playing more than two games :3

But if you could tell me I would appreciate it very much!

Give this a shot

I wasn't sure how exactly AOS:// links are parsed, so I included AoSLauncher utility, so if you can't use links directly from the ace-spades.com/play you should still be able to run AoSLauncher and use that to get in to servers (hover over the tray icon for AoSLauncher to see the controls)
