Aye, AoS is a game not really renowned for an intelligent community. You may be glad to hear that not all clans that are successful have a lot of members. If you manage to get about 5-ish loyal members, that can actually be better than 20 not so loyal ones. You'll be able to do clan matches as well.
Advice on getting members: Log onto different servers, try to observe the all-chat and see which members seem intelligent/polite and good fighters at the same time. Indicate them to the forums if they aren't registered yet (they may be reluctant though, I know I was, but nice people usually agree) and then to this thread, where they will read the OP and decide whether they want to join.

All you say is true. I also think it's a shame regarding AoS not been "renowned for an intelligent community". Because it has really potential to become a "chess"-like game if both teams consist of not only skilled shooters but also smart tacticians. And thanks for the advices.

For once a promising thread in small clans. Gave me the same vibe as BiA's first thread did back in the day, although I do hope this clan will fare better.

Good luck, and don't ever give up, bov.

Bumping because this epic clan slid away to 2nd page. A bit unfair if you ask me.

Yea, I was afraid to make double posts just to keep the thread alive, in case it would annoy the moderators. But at the second thought, I've put enough work into this thread to feel like jeopardizing my forum account just to have it on the 1st page on this forum. I hope the mods understand.

Due to the fact that messages dissapear so quickly on chat ingame, I will be soon working on our own set of communications aswell. These will be short commands, inspired by military "language" in real life. For example: "2 Charlies at C4, SMG + Rifle!".

Thanks :)

Also I've just put up our first server. It's my first server (meaning that I'm still experimenting with VOXEL, learning to know the basic functions, etc.), so it probably doesn't have that "WOW" effect attached to it. And it's a public server, so it's really more of a "advertisement" server (not that there is much to advertise with my VOXEL-abilities). But nonetheless, anyone who wants to check it out, do so. The theme is my version of a "No Mans Land" (the map is called that too) and you can find it in the list of servers by the name "SotA Server". Alright, thanks for reading.

Regards

Just to inform you that I'm gonna shut the server down for a while. My comp needs a rest plus I'm gonna add some "improvements" to the map. Thanks for playing my map on a SotA server.

Cheers m8s.

Yes, indeed. But I don't want to add too much either. I like some of those EU MINIT servers that are just flat, rectangular maps. Them and the babel ones, are those where I've seen the most action so far. (Plus some brotherhood servers, they're good too.) Perhaps adding already built bunkers, so that players don't need to (but I know they'll get griefed pretty quickly). In addition I also want to add water damage, so that players don't hide in the water and camp.
