Firing Blanks // Rubber Bullets

So I noticed that every once in a while the actual ammunition is replaced with blanks. I can empty a clip into a squad of blues sometimes and they just smile back at me as they kill me with their grown-up ammunition.

There is something seriously wrong with our materiel supply, I don't know if the army needs all these blank rounds, but they sure as hell don't need to mix them in with the actual ammo at the supply tent.

I believe lag is causing this bug.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

This should be fixed now, if you are experience it again try getting what version the server is running with the /version command and we'll look in to it :)

I Love this game, I play about 20 hours a week on many different servers, this is a definate bug ..it happens in every server to about the same extent, most noticable with rifle... about 40%-50% of shots do not register, players just don't die when you shoot them with a whole mag in the head, you see blood with each shot but no kill.

Was it the latest wepons tweaks to the rifle that were made that have now made it virtually impossible to kill from overhead? To the point where spending ages going high in the game to snipe seems pointless as you have to shoot a whole mag to get just one kill and thus give your position away, all that effort for no kill and they kill youwith a single shot. Could it just be the weapon tweaks causing the bug?

It does seem to occur randomly and so does apear like it 'could' be lag but I am convinced it is not. Whatever tweaks or code changes have been made to the latest release have introduced this bug.

Ask any good player and they will tell you that the problem was NOT there in the last version. Many MANY players have pointed out this bug to me in game mostly in disbelief that they did not get the kill they expected. As I previously said this was NOT a problem with the last version and no one complained (noobs as exceptions).

Many good players have become fustrated to the point that they have quit playing till it is fixed and I worry that this could be the downfall of the game. Posters, please don't troll back with excuses like 'adapt', or 'stop complaining' etc etc as I do adapt and this in not a complaint, rather, it is info to hopefully make the game better!

Would be awesome, because we have been working hard to try to fix this.
As far as we can tell this only occurs on pyspades servers,
and as meany of you have pointed out i didn't happen in the last version.

We think we have fixed if now, but it's hard to tell since no everyone is experiencing this bug,
and a lot of servers out there are still running old versions of pyspades.

And for those who wonders, this happens because the servers think that you don't have any bullets,
but the client think it has. So to be able to kill someone again when this is happening, you'll need to reload-

hmmm.. I will have to experiment to try this reload to 'fix' the kill. It's still wierd as sometimes the kill will suddenly register after maybe 6 or 7 shots without a reload (hence the suggestions of lag etc) ...sometimes the whole mag is fired and nothing then sometimes less but if I target another player (without reloading) they die as they should.

ok i have played a lot on the goonservers which suffer from this bug (along with all the other servers i play) and the reload does sometimes help to kill one person however the next person is bugged again and another reload is required to make the kill. This bug has made the game very dull to play.

Honestly, I don't really notice it that much on Goon Haven. Sometimes on Aloha Babel, tho.

Was on minit earlier. First round was fine, all shots landing normally, managed a decent score. Round 2, though, i was getting robbed left and right. Headshots were almost always ineffective. I could point blank headshot someone who wasnt moving numerous times and nothing would happen, or several blatant headshots from close range would register as bodyshots somehow, even if the person's body wasnt exposed. Not to mention other problems that were occurring, such as being killed by grenades from miles away(not kidding, there was even a 2 block thick wall in the way once). All the while, my ping never went over 70ms, and stayed around 50 most of the time.

This seems to happen more and more to me lately, and is for some reason worse on 16:9 monitors vs 4:3. No clue why. Its become so frustrating that im considering quitting AoS until at least another update, or until these issues are directly addressed.
