Mods by That Guy

Postby thatguy » Mon Apr 09, 2012 7:48 pm

This topic is a collection of mods that have been created or modified by me
with all the modification credit will be given.

Also i know there is only one mod but there is more on the way, im just have trouble getting the in-game model to work, for some reason the gun appears to float behind you.

If you have a clue what is happening a download link can be found here - http://www.mediafire.com/?hkxkg4wca6fn4ef

MP18 ironsights not included

When I started playing the spades of ace I always wanted some for of a automatic weapon with wood furniture which blended well with the current semi-automatic rifle and the shotgun, and finally after half and hour of placing the voxel thingies i have come up with this The MP18! :D

download - http://www.mediafire.com/?325b66s47bkawzd

Also if any of you are fairly competent at making iron sights please apply, and if can get my dp-28 to work please can I have a download like and credit will be given for fixing it.

Comments and criticism welcome.

Looks great. +1

SIMOX wrote:How to make ironsights my way:

1. Open google
2. Find your weapon ironsight picture
3. Model it in SLAB6 as best as possible.
4. Strech your screen down a bit, or go fullscreen
5. Press "T" for nicer blocks effect
6. Press "R" twice
7. Set backroung color to bright white or other color that weapon does not have.
8. Align the ironsight
9. Take screenshot
10. Open it through GIMP (If you don't have it - Download it)
11. Add alpha channel.
12. Cut out white background
13. Make sure all letters, numbers and cursor are cut out too.
14. Add your little aiming thingy.
15. Create new file (800x600 with alpha channel)
16. Paint center of the screen in 4 pixels. Center of the screen is 400,300 ; 400,301 ; 401,300 ; 401,301
17. Copy your ironsight to new file and align it with red dot. Your aiming thingy should cover only 2 pixels of it.
18. Then delete rest of the red blocks
19. Cut out the aiming thingy area and add it as a new layer.
20. Switch to other layer and add blur to it through: Tools>GEGL>Box-blur (2-1 is fine)
21. Press right click on the aiming thingy layer and select "Merge down"
22. Then use color picker tool to get color and paint small spaces that bluring created.
23. If you are happy with it click save or save as.
24. Save it as "Filename.png"
25. Enjoy ;D

As for the gun being in the wrong position, you'll probably have to re-do the model. Try using the semi as a base and just copying the gun voxel by voxel.

Why would you press R twice...
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

Because you need to turn it off, then get a good possition and press R again. That way rendering of blocks will look lil different than it would without pressing R at all. You need to test it yourself.

You just mouseover the little boxes in the lower left, and use the arrow keys. Experiment a bit until you get a good result.
