I sure hope there's a limit to how long block lines can be, or else I'm sure we'll be seeing people make 25 block long bars of blocks for the hell of it every time they spawn.

Err, though this seems like it would be nice, It seems a bit weird. I guess we will have to see how it works in a game.

I hope it's only an option for creative servers. It's like "oh, hai. I'll make 25 long wall in 10 seconds by just running twice".
Right now building require some effort - spend some time, stay in cover, look over an edge to build bridge.

Yeah but don't you want ppl to build some more defensive structures IN the middle of the battlefield not outside of it?

They sacrifice safety for building speed, its not like theres zero trade off.

They get so much speed that they hardly need safety. Sure, it has some disadvantages, but I'm still very sceptical.
And it will look just silly - someone run from one cover to another, and second later wall appear from nowhere. Current system at last somehow represent placing sandbags/brics one by one, near the place where you stand at this moment, in front of you.
We will see... I'll start whining again if it turn out to be as bad as I think.

I don't really like the idea. I always thought it was more "Realistic" that you had to put down each brick at a time. It makes building challenging but rewarding. Now anyone can build a huge wall in no time.

I was talking with the forum staff about the ability for the click and drag technology to make the largest rectangle possible from the start point to the end point.

For instance, in the video the player clicked 5 blocks high and dragged about 7 or 8 blocks back, pressing shift or another hot key will build a wall 5 blocks high and 8 blocks long.

What do you guys think?

I think that would be a bit too much. It would make building cover way too easy and allow griefers to wall off multiple teammates simultaneously.

I believe building needs to be easier, too many people run and gun. And we have solution for griefers we can take away their build rights.
