â™  Strategies & Strategic Ways of Playing Ace of Spades â™

Postby Carnage » Wed Apr 04, 2012 12:01 am

Below lies the common strategies and strategic ways of playing Ace of Spades, which can help you become better at the game. It will increase your skill easily, as well.

Strategy #1:
Listen to adrenaline-rushing music to motivate you while you play.

Strategy #2:
Build good walls and cover. 2 block walls are the easiest things to hide behind, and still have an area to shoot out of.

Strategy #3:
Crouch! It's harder to get a headshot when someone is crouching.

Strategy #4:
Don't rush in to the battle. Take your time. Rushing in makes you a huge target for the other team to kill.

Strategy #5:
Always push forward. Don't give the opposite team the advantage.

Strategy #6:
The intel is not essential when it comes to Team Deathmatch. Focus on the kills and let the more stealthy players on the team go for the intel.

Strategy #7:
Modify your scopes/ironsights and textures. The default ironsight makes it harder to actually hit somebody because of the surroundings visible around the enemy.

Strategy #8:
Crouching while using a weapon decreases the recoil of the weapon, which is a huge advantage.

Strategy #9:
Take a look at your mini-map consistently to determine the location of other players, or to see if someone has spotted you and is going for the kill.

Strategy #10:
There's no "I" in "Team".

Leave suggestions in the "Reply" section below for new strategies to be added!

Thanks,

Good tips , but number 6 just destroys even more the essence of Ace Of Spades , of going for the intel , not focusing on kills , which is in another game-modes like TDM.

I suggest you either change it or remove.

I disagree with #1. The game is so quiet that being able to hear gunshots could save your life.
I also don't really know what you are saying with #7. Are you saying that to much of the screen is visible? Because I find that helpful.

Drawing fake intels all over the map is always a fun approach to mess with the other team.

I never said you had to "blast" the music. Turn it on low, where you can still here it, along with the in-game music.

Just my opinion, but I find that any music, even if it's quiet, drowns out subtle sound effects like footsteps at a distance.

I 100% agree with SLoW. Music is distracting and does not help in any way. It can also make you more frustrated if you continuously die. I play AoS with Beats and I want to hear my full surroundings and not get random music deeply into mc ears. I dislike 6 and disagree with 8. In #6 you're basically trying to say that teamwork is bad and everyone should be kill whores which is completely the opposite of what we're trying to do. With #8 the rifle doesn't get much more recoil standing or crouching. Only SMG experiences this problem and you shouldn't be sniping with a shotgun. Also what are you trying to say that a crouching enemy is harder to hit? Its pretty much the exact same between a stander and a croucher. Other than that nice attempt at a newbie guide.

This. I need perfect silence when I play.

Honestly, I do a lot better with music than I do without.

It's not cheating unless you use lasersights.

That's not cheating. It's exploitation.
