Where the hell are the Team Capture servers?!

I am absolutely overwhelmed by the fact that there are absolutely no TC server worth a damn. I joined one today and it had a 15 minute per map time limit.

15 minutes? In a game where half of the focus is building things? Really? I don't have the hardware required to run a server, but I find it hard to believe everyone everywhere ever wants to play capture the flag all the time. TC encourages digging in at the different capture points, building forts that wont necessarily be torn down by the enemy, but used AGAINST you. It gives a sense of a forward push, like an actual battle. Hell, I don't need to explain this crap, everyone's played Battlefield. So the real question is why the hell can't I find a TC server worth a damn?

'guess people know CTF game mode more. It's also a standard game mode for clan wars and events.

Nope, I liked TC, too. I've only seen one server recently that was using that game mode, and I don't even remember which one it was.

Then again, with the instability and unreliability of 0.75, it wasn't even fun to play.

not TC but the aloha TOW (tug of war) server is very similar to TC, the difference being that you must capture command posts in order and you spawn behind your team's frontmost captured command post. a lot of us prefer it over TC, you might too!

That does sound better. But there's only 1 person on the server. It may just be the time of night it is, but it still doesn't explain why 99% of the servers are freaking CTF. I mean, seriously, can we get some variety? Pretty please?

I enjoy TC. I wish it was hosted more. IMO tents need a vertical capture limit too so you can't cap it from the bottom of the map.

Reason TC/ToW servers aren't popular is how often people disregard anything but tunneling under them and sitting there for hours on end.

It just isn't much fun in it's current state.

i would love to play this mode you speak of just because it reminds me of bf and arma, but its a fact, that there are no servers for the mode...
why would anyone camp at the bottom for hours?

idea for a new mode?:
tc with tickets, having bases or kills decreases other teams tickets BUT killing enemies gets some back . would this, coupled with anti-camping script, be better in theory?

TC is cool try TOW( thug of war) its the same as TC just the HQ's are set in lines like b1, b2 , b4 , b6 , b8.
And a big plus at TC is that you got where to refill ammo not like CTF , I wish Ben would take a look at the supply's problem.

I much prefer TOW to TC. Feels much more concentrated and you get real battles.

well with the rise of babel and arena servers,you need a ctf variaty,and with the more updates we get,the more boring it gets.
Personally,i would put TOW over TC,even though i favor niether.
