Okay, A transport Huey that a player can fly. 1 Pilot 3 Passengers that shoot out with their guns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_UH-1_Iroquois

A Boat, Also 1 Driver 3 Passengers that also shoot from the boat with their guns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rigid-hull ... table_boat

AA Turret, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8.8_cm_Flak_18/36/37/41, 8,8 cm Flak 18 would be used. 1 Player controls it.

Instant-120 seconds vehicle respawn (Host configurable. Instant would give others a chance to fly the chopper/drive the boat/use AA, as when the player dies he/she has to wait to respawn while another Vehicle could already be deployed.)

Ben did say 64 players are not too far off.
Bigger maps? - 1-2 Helicopter and maybe 2-3 boats per team. (Map designer Configurable)

The Vehicle Spawns would be in an indestructible place, players cannot build or destroy there.

The AA guns Would be positioned around the main base. 2-1 Per team depending on how the map designers want it.

When Helicopters crash, they destroy a few blocks (5-7 max to demote crash-griefing) when they touch down, Destroying the chopper.

They would need a near-flat surface to land. (they can hover though to let players dismount.)

Helicopters should have 750 HP and take 50% less gun damage.

Boats should have 500 HP and take 20% less gun damage.

Flak Cannons should have 1000 Hp and take 70% less gun damage.
(They are Anti-helicopter base camping defense after all.)

Flak Cannons would do a full 200-550 damage each hit to a chopper.
(helicopter would be hit severely off course when it is a direct hit.)
They aim on an axis of 30-75 Degrees. Better if placed high up. Relatively inaccurate at medium-far range. Has Bullet Drop because shell the is so heavy.
(destroys 3x3 when hitting blocks or not destroying blocks at all. Should be an option to the host)

In bigger maps better visibility too. Maybe see 30% further more than before.

REMEMBER you can be killed while using a vehicle.

The indestructible spawning area for vehicles would be around 10x10 or 15x15.

Also if you fly a helicopter and die, you should have to wait 2-5 minutes to fly another one again to let others fly.
(Host Configurable)

So basically
-Vehicle spawns cannot be griefed
-AA gun cant do serious damage to structures (because of the Axis limit.)
-Boats to speed through enemy lines. (You can be ambushed!)
-Everyone will eventually get a turn!
-Crashing helicopters into buildings will not destroy many blocks! (It can crush other players though!)
-Helicopters to help capture Intel, capture bases on Tug Of War, or to just have fun :D
-If you fly to low in a helicopter, you can be shot through the cockpit!
-No new weapons needed!

HELI CONTROLS--

W/S- Throttle Up/Down

A/D- Bank Left/Right

Mouse Forward/Backward- Pitch Forward/Backward
(invertible)

Mouse Left/Right- Roll Left/Right


BOAT CONTROLS---

W/S- Forward/Backward

A/D Turn Left/Right

Mouse- Look Around


AA CONTROLS--

Mouse- Aim cannon

Left click- Fire Cannon

TO ENTER VEHICLES

E- Enter Vehicle (Player Configurable)

JUST REMEMBER VEHICLES DON'T HAVE TO BE ON EVERY MAP.

did you read the "DO NOT suggest" thread?? And even if it is in the developers interest to add vehicles there is still alot that needs to be done before vehicles even become a priority.

Yes. But i felt it deserved more attention. Nobody really covered vehicles in-depth so i felt i would give it a go. :p
Even if it is not going to be for a long time i just thought i would give an idea to how it could work.

I would like that we got something like a wrench With that we can build vecihles etc. like so .

1. Select Vehicle"
2. Set Vehicle" Start block
3. With holding L.Mouse button you will fill a bar to 100%
4. When you finished it to 100% a Vehicle Spawns.

^ I like the idea but it seems kind of complicated. I was thinking of something that didn't really need any explanation, so new players can hop right into a game and try to practice flying. Besides your idea would make it seem like it would be easy for everyone to get a vehicle. I don't want to join a game with 12 choppers flying overhead, do you?

And to repair Vehicles go back to the Vehicle spawn.

Hm.. You right at that then everyone can make a vehicle. :/
But im not a fan of Random vehicles (or anything random) on map. I would like that there is a system how we get that or someting ...

There could always be an option that the vehicles don't respawn. So if you crash it/destroy it the Vehicle's rubble is still there. To get it back up and running you would need to give it an amount of blocks?

IE: Left click with blocks of any color to repair the helicopter, after 100 blocks it will be flyable but hard to control. You would need to fly it back to the landing pad to get it fully repaired.

So now if you team loses the vehicle, you would need to find and repair it...
It would be an option to the host,
1- Vehicles Respawn
2- Vehicles Do not Respawn
3- Vehicles Do not respawn but can be repaired
4- No Vehicles
It COULD work but I'm trying to make things newbie simple.

Why you try to make thing " Newbie Simple " all the newbies will learn how it works in 1 day. Making something newbie friendly makes a game newbie friendly forever , that doesn't allow normal players to advice from the newbie phase.

Well, yes that too but i don't want people to get frustrated and and in-game chat being spammed with 'HOW DOES GET VEHICULAR DERP'

I Would like it more when a player sees that a new version is updated with vehicles added he/she can go 'Oh goodie! Let me find a server with vehicles and see what it would have in store for me!'

hm... ok I understand you , But Im more for the building vehicles" type but ok ...

Anyway Vehicles will mostly be never added + We all are waiting that Ben add's the Mortar and MG .For this update 0.75 Where we got just some small additions and lag we waited 5 months 5 long months , and now till we get weapons or even vehicles we will have to wait god damn much.

Yes it might not. And the wait period for updates is outrageous. But this is a game with no budget, so patience is the least you can give.

And I'm just trying to give an idea of what it would be like if there are going to be vehicles. People just saying 'Derp we need AA, Herp Transport helicopter and boats are needed' was just not enough.

Im also keen on the jeep.

the chinook/pavelow helicopter could pick up the jeep and carry it up,say, a hill it cant climb.
good suggestion--AA guns,could work (Supporting You)
