Howdy fella's,
I feel a tad outnumbered when I read most of these music threads on here, Most of you seem to be in touch with the contemporary music but I'm curious how man of you appreciate the oldies, now I mean over any genre, For me its old rock n' roll to the classic harder stuff from the 80's and 90's.
Plus country as well,I prefer the honky tonk i.e Hank Willams, Boxcar Willie sound along with the outlaw side like Waylon
Jennings, Johnny Cash etc.
Though if you are a fan of Older Rap, R n' B etc that is welcome to.
I aint a music snob I can respect today's musicians as artists but for me a lot of their sound just doesn't make me want to enjoy myself like a good ol' boy like Elvis or Mr Cash.
On a side note would you consider hat to play music like the blues or country with a heartfelt spin you need to live hard and be a tough s.o.b? I mean most of the old blue boys where black and grew up in the deep south only a generation away from freed slave, along with that you have the likes of Johnny Cash who grew up a poor dirt farmer or Hank Williams JR who fell 500 feet down a mountain and had to get his face rebuilt.
