Especially with the potential in the future for 64 player servers, the servers currently running with short wave times are going to constantly have new spawns. But very empty servers are boring without a very short respawn timer because it creates long gaps in the action where almost no one is alive.
It's why I suggested there be a scaling option for the wave time based off the number of active players. It will keep small games exciting without large games devolving in to zerging.
I like the concept of respawn waves, it just isn't set up very well yet. Even with pyspades, you simply can't change the wave time on the fly to accommodate changing conditions on a server.
No. With the default spawn, in the future with 64-players server, it would be just fine. When that happens, short-timer would makes the game WAY too fast paced.
I think you didn't get what he was saying.
The respawn wawes time would get longer when there would be more people in the server automatically by using a server setting.
When there's only a few people in the server, the wawe spawning would take shorter time, like every 7 seconds.
When there would be like 30 people, it would be 25 seconds, and with 60 it would be 35.
Numbers can always be changed.
