Four good ones and one "so bad its good" from me:

Trigun: Scifi, Steampunky, Cowboy flick with a littl bit of magic and armageddon; did I also mention its kinda funny =p

Baccano: set in prohibition america, has alchemy and some cool stuff thrown in.

Wolfs rain: Very very very very very Extremly sad Scifi anime ( I cried all the way through it)

Ghost in the Shell: Scifi action, with some real deep philisophical exploration on what it means to be alive

Yeah, but...
They want to be part of the DARK side of Japan... You know, the side that is filled with cancer and virginity. The part shunned by all of Asia.
Also, when people try to be "as Asian as possible", they include a shitton of stereotypes, and eventually would get repetitive and eventually, offensive (I mean, come on, weeaboos, I don't fucking eat Pocky, or have a fetish for cats. I eat fish and rice and sometimes, whatever you Americans eat).
