Star wars

Postby HoboHob » Sat Sep 29, 2012 7:38 pm

By far my favorite series of movies.

I grew up watching them, and I still do.

I grew up playing games that were all star wars related. Heck I got into First Person Shooters because of Star Wars BattleFront.

The first movie I remember watching EVER was Star Wars Episode 1. One scene that will always stay with me is Qui-Gon getting murdered by Darth Maul.

Whenever I watch these movies, it feels like I am watching it for the first time. I get transported to a time when I was young. When the world was a better place. These movies will stay with me forever.

I will literally force my kids and grandkids to watch these movies :P.

Old Republic era is best era! Everything else I consider to be meh. Fun fact: Jedi was spelled Je'Daii, meaning Mystic Center
Also, every Tythonian, but not every Tythoniannis a Je'Daii.

What's with the old republic?

I would rather know what happened after episode 6. So little is known after. But so much is known from before.

Read the comics, play the games, read books, read wookiepedia. You will find out then.

Plus you should inform your self around the after the battle of endor time.
Awesome shit there too.
Also there is allot of cool stuff in the middle of EP 3 and EP 4. Like the Jedi Purge for example.

I advise you start reading Star Wars Legacy(way after EP 6) and Star Wars The Old Republic.

List of Star Wars comics by Dark Horse Comics.

Also don't forget to play Jedi Knight(those games follow the story line that happened after EP 6) games. Boba Fett is alive.

Dawn of The Jedi looks neat.
"Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi is an ongoing comic book series from Dark Horse Comics, written by John Ostrander and pencilled by Jan Duursema. It is set in the earliest days of the Jedi Order, beginning in 36,453 BBY, in a time before the polarization of the light and dark sides of the Force. A preview Issue 0 was released on February 1, 2012, and it was followed by the series' first issue on February 15. Dawn of the Jedi will be an ongoing, but not monthly, series. It is notably the first series to be set in the Pre-Republic era."

@Falcon: Wookies usually pronounce Jedi as Je'daii.

I sound like a nerd, don't I.

I'm currently collecting Dawn of the Jedi, I really want to know about the Thor Yors.. I also like the infinity empire. Those guys were kick-ass with the StarForge and all. And the Old Republic is usually the one that most people focus on is because that is the era where sith DID exist, where they were abundant and there were wars with them.
Pro tip: Play the KOTOR games.

Mandalorians?
As in, the war with the Mandalorians? I believe Revan was involved in that. I think.

Thats Old Republic stuff. I liked the older movies, but I find the Old Republic era more interesting.

Cool story bro.

Would have been better if there had been slightly better grammar IMO.

I greatly enjoyed the Knights of the Old Republic games, I probably put 2000-3000 hours across both combined. Fun stuff.

Revan was the one leading Republic forces against them Mandalorians. In allot of occasions it says that without Revan Mandalorians would have won that war.

The Jedi order was against jedi joining the war but Revan and his apprentice Malak couldn't watch all the planets counquered so they joined the war and won it. Allot of jedi joined Revan and Malak and allot of them died. KOTOR 2 continues on how one of Revan's followers was exiled and you play as the exile.
