How Do I Use Fraps?

Hey guys.

Can somebody please give me details on how to use Fraps?
I just dowloaded it, and I tried but it didn't work?

Can someone please help me?

Firstly, did you buy it, pirate it or download the free version? The free version only does 30 second clips.

I haven't baught it, cost to much money. :P

Well, firstly, the free version is only going to record 30 seconds of footage at a time.
Once you've launched fraps, go into a game, and you should see your frame rate in one corner. If not, check the 'show overlay' box in the first tab that opens. Then change your start recording hotkey to whatever you want. Once you're in game, you should see your frame rate overlay in yellow. When you press your 'start recording' hot key, the frame rate overlay should turn red. This means you are recording. Press that hotkey again to stop recording (your frame rate will return to yellow). Your recording will be saved in a folder called Movies by default.

And If you want to record 10 minutes at a time free you can download bandicam, same thing but it just got some stupid watermark at the top.

i use bandicam . . . . its 10mm free so its good i guss . just follow the same steps the other guys said only useing bandicam

Ok thanks for all the advice guys, I might try out Bandicam, but I'll stick with Fraps now.

I guess I'm gonna use Bandicam, Fraps cost $40 to film higher then 30 secs, and Bandicam costs $39 to film over 10 mins, so Bandicam is better.

You also got to take into account how good the quality is. I believe fraps records more fps then bandicamp. I could be wrong.
