I have been a serious victim of this.
I bought a Xbox360 of a dutch-ebaylike site, and it had many games for a good price (including cawadoody and Halo3)
So when I got there, the seller told me it was modified to play downloaded Xbox isos on expensive Double Layer Discs,
And if I updated it I couldn't play some games. I updated it anyway, so that I could play online.
I mash Cawadoody in the xbox (new update prevented to play Golden Doody SP or MP)
So I mash Halo 3 MP in it (It had Halo ODST), then I select matchmaking.
You need Xbox Live Gold to play this online.
WHY ARE YOU SO VAGUE ABOUT THIS, MICROSOFT?
WHY HAVEN"T I HEARD ABOUT THIS BEFORE I BOUGHT IT?
So I pirate RPG's and GTA IV from download sites, except FBI took MegaUpload down, so no other file host wants to host copyrighted material. And you need to have memberships if you want to download .iso's.
Matter of fact, when I updated the Mod firmware on my XboX and paid 40 euros to the modifiers, a new update came out 1 week later to support the new iso format, on which all cool games came out like Skyrim and Rage.
