Looking for a new laptop

I've been looking for a new computer for a while now, but when I saw FaZe's thread here I figured that I should ask here as well.

I'm looking for a laptop (yes, a laptop, I do a lot of moving around/traveling) for under $1,200 (possible?) that will be able to run Tribes: Ascend, BF3, Minecraft, AoSGL, maybe TF2, and some other games that have nice graphics. I would like to be able to run these games on medium/high settings without lag (30+ FPS).

I've been looking at this - Lenovo Y580

I'm not sure if it will run the games I want to run, though.

If you guys have any suggestions for laptops (I know, I should really get a desktop, but I travel a lot and I'll go insane without a computer with me.) that will be able to run those games and have lots of space for schoolwork, post below!

I do want a 1920x1080 screen if possible.
Please no Alienware.

I have a laptop similar to that one.
It's Gigabyte (some brand name) and I think costs under your budget.
Not sure about the specs though, they were written on a paper thingy stuck on the laptop but it wore out :(

But I don't know much about laptops/pcs, just saying what I have.
