Ermagerd, Minecraft Issues!!! XP

Yeah I know it's not about AoS, but still!

So for some reason, I can't seem to input my custom skins... :\ It doesn't even display the skin I'm currently using on my Profile Page on minecraft.net. Instead, whenever I get into game, it seems to use the "default skin" for whatever texture pack I'm using (for example, when using the Default my player is the original Steve, and when I try to use the Shadow of Israphel Texture Pack from the Yogscast my player is Knight Peculiar). I have ABSOLUTELY no idea why it's doing this, and I've been trying to upload some and any of my custom skins in the way I've always done it before (go down to the Browse option and simply Upload the skin), but nothing seems to work and all that remains is the default skin!

I feel like this may just be a problem with Minecraft's server connection or something though, because at one point when trying to refresh my profile page it said something along the lines of "So sorry, our servers are working just a little too hard! Try to come back later!", but I can't imagine why that would have much to do with my issue. I've also tried patching the game with mcpatcher, but still nothing.

Try to Force Update on your Minecraft launcher and upload your skin again. Are you using the right format? Check. Also try to find a better Internet connection. Sometimes your skin will change to Steve or default texture when you are having connection problems or you died recently.

Sadly- as some of you AoS peeps may know about me- I'm not very tech savy when it comes to these kinds of things such as that "Force Update" method you mentioned and about how to check for the "right format"... XP Could you help me with some of those by providing some directions?

I believe there's a button in the Launcher that says "Force Update". If not, go to Settings or Options and then find Force Update.

And what I mean by format is; are you using the template that you can download on the website?

So I've tried Force Updating it a couple times now with that direction, but still no prevail. :\ As for the format, then yes- I actually purchased my Minecraft from the actual website.

If it helps with any information, the image for my skin on my profile page shows that annoying little "x" in the box you get when an image won't show up on the internet if you know what I mean. :\ Does that explain anything useful?

Alright, well this step thankfully got me back to the custom skin I was originally using, but it still seems incapable of working with any other skins... :L Either way, this is better than before, so thanks for that Rydog!

It's a problem with the MC server, it's not your fault Soap. Everything will be fine after they get some better web hosting shit.

You realize Mojang hosts it all the way from Sweden, so a lot of users will have connection problems.

You realize not all MC servers are hosted in Sweden, but hosted on their own PC, or a server provider.
