How to Stop Someone From Hacking Before They Start?

So my brother's friend has been having some fun hacking on Ace of Spades. As soon as my brother got a chance to try his friend's hacks, he was hooked. Now all he wants to do is install the hacks on one of our computers. I've been trying to convince him otherwise, but he keeps making dumb arguements like, "Everyone else on that server hacks, I'll blend right in," and "I won't make it too obvious".

Fortunately, my brother is a bit... slow when it comes to computers. Still, I wouldn't put it past him to find some kind of easy hack-installing tutorial, and I'm sure his friend would be happy to install the hack for him. So my question is...

How do you convince somebody that hacking is wrong before they start? My brother obviously doesn't care about the other players he's playing with, and the fact that he could get us both banned doesn't seem to stop him either. If I can't change his mind, is there anything I can do to make my AoS client "hack-proof"? I'd appreciate any advice anyone has to offer.

Hacking is a form of trolling, thus it makes your "spade" smaller, gives you the emotional threshold of a brick, and nobody but trolls would like you. And it just turns you into an everyday cheatin' degenerate polak. Otherwise if he keeps hacking, tell him of an awesome mode he should check out on an admin-active server, and notify the admins on IRC. Sometimes you just have to act hard. Tell him also that cheaters would gladly support racism, deuce and terrorism. Or just threaten him by telling his other friends that he cheats.

What happens: You become an asshole, your social life ceases to exist and you ruin the game for everyone else.

How to stop: Well, Tuna beat me to it. Warn the admins on all the servers and IRCs, including Aloha. Make CERTAIN he is gbl'd. Unless, of course, he uses YOUR computer. In that scenario, try to find and delete his hack files. If you can't, get rid of his client file. If it's something that bothers him, tell him he'll never get laid.

EDIT: Actually, just give him the cold shoulder: "Have fun getting gbl'd."

If he's smaller and weaker, use physical intimidation. Only as a last resort though. I have a better idea.

Download the hacks, make sure you know where they go, then once he's gone, delete them. Just make sure he doesn't get a chance to use them.

If you see this post jerk brother, just know this, hacking ruins your Ace of Spades life. Trust me on this one. It's hard to earn lost trust. Very hard.

Bottom line is: Don't do it.

If you are bad at the game, then get better. There is only one thing more satisfying than getting a high score by hacking. And that is getting a high score by not hacking, it's way more fun.

Tell them that if they continue hacking, they'll get banned from the entire game. The same will happen to you if you choose to try it. Say something like "Do you enjoy Ace of Spades?" and if he says "Yes" then tell him about the global banlist and how there are more than 2000 players that were (notice, I said "were", because they're all banned now) stupid like him and decided to play with hacks. Tell him that if he uses it, you'll kick his ass. Also, you could just watch him when he plays and then make him leave before he starts to "play".

Good luck with your dumbass brother, you're going to need it to convince a brainless cheater not to cheat.
