Something needs to be done about the aimbotting.

I suggest that the statement. "There is little we can do about it, because every game is hacked." Is an apathetic attitude.

Yes there is little we can do as users other then ban or vote kick in game. And as server operators create, and use anti hack scripts. As well as heavy hitting, trustworthy administration.

I suggest the developers can do a lot more. At the very least try some thing.

Our part as players and potential customers is to remind the developers. That this issue is important enough to be addressed at the top of this forum everyday.

This is the strongest way, we the users can make it clear. We the customers are watching and waiting for results.
And yes I understand it is a free game. I like it. I want to buy it. But I can not put money on a game or company that does not even try to produce a trustworthy product.

I am not asking for, or demanding a cure to the problem. I would be happy with knowing that the powers that be are honestly making some kind of effort, to combat the issue.

Hell correct me if I am wrong but do they ,or have they ever, publicly addressed the aimbot/hack issue? I would love to read a link. Maybe it could slow my own slide into apathy.

I second this and give +1 respect points to Floob.

I don't know about the rest of you, but Aloha is pretty good when it comes to moderation. At least, in my timezone. Salina gets things done most of the time when I'm on, although I get pretty pissed when she screws my ratios. :P

/admin works for me on aloha servers. The only problem I have, and a couple of people agree with me, is the amount of power guards have. I think Kodiak said "Whats the point of an admin with less power?". I don't think it's lack of trust, since I believe that they do trust their guards, but sometimes guards are the only ones on when something's happening.

I'll elaborate on Varun quoting me, but imo the guard system is ridiculous. When confronted with a situation out of their reach the guard feels stressed to do something about it when not too much can be done. Togglebuild a griefer? Great. They'll catch on in a minute or two and come back. Togglekill some hackers? Awesome. Now you've got a useless slot filled up by a useless players. What's the point.

^Yup, thats what I mean. Salina was explaining her limitations while trying to screw mine and Kodiak's ratios. Successfully for me I might add, though I was having a bad day. Irrelevant.

Anyway, Kodiak and I don't really see the point of Guards. I don't think its a trust thing, unless you don't trust Salina and the other Guards for some reason. Why exactly is it that Guards have so little power?

Well, something strange is going on if you can't even get 15 kills. What servers do you play on? I never get banned/kicked where I play, and I'm always (Usually) on top of the pack by large margins. You need to play with better people. Pinpoint gets some decent people, although there are a fair few botters. But you can always just use the /admin command and a wild Salina will appear to chase them away. It works for me anyway.

And you don't get jumped for saying devs are ruining the game. Many people *cough* Tai especially *cough believe this.

Well, you, your friend and your others friends are wrong. My friend's friend taught my friend how to aimbot who taught my other friend's friends cousin, which I am distantly related to, online friend's friends of my friends that decided my friend to be my friend of his friend's friend and to tell me my other friend's friends has an ESP and asked his friend's friend how to ask a friend's friend to get a aimbot, who emailed it to my friend's friendly friend and the friend's friend decided to email the aimbot to one of my friend's friend friend who burned it one a USB and gave it to my friend's cousin, who accidently lost the USB which got rescued by my friend's friend who used it and then told my friend's friends cousin to email a message about my friend's friends using an aimbot.

PS: Read this post really, really quickly when you are having a mobile conversation with your friend.

Regarding the guard thing with aloha:
Have you ever witnessed an admin abuse their powers? Teleporting for advantages, going inv, then not inv all over enemy bases. Ect?
I don't think so. And if you have, bring it up at aloha.pk

The reason you haven't is because they have that guard system. We spend a few weeks watching applications, and applicants. Making sure they fit with the aloha team. Maturity, follow the rules, ect. After which, we give them guardship. To teach them, and ease them into being an admin.

I also like it because it gives me a sense of superiority over the guards ;) lol

Then leave. Ben can't please everyone, by pleasing some people he will tick off others. He is going to do what he thinks is best for the game.

Well shouldn't you be watching them before hand to make sure they are trustworthy? You know, I could just be mature while I am a guard and then TP all around the map when I get admin ;)

I think guards should be able to atleast kick people.
