I have a feeling that this update will ether make or break AOS; long term opposers to these types of ideas may find that this update was well worth the wait and is going in the right direction then it might make the community a bit more open to these types of ideas. However if the update fails to deliver that will be fully justified in their naysaying and arguments that Have been raging for considerable periods of time on these issues such as weapons balancing and building will fall apart because of the poor quality of the update.

BUT.....We need the update to be released before we can go into fits over the contents.

The way I see it the 30 second wave spawner will make it so teams have a better chance of rushing and getting the intel. After a good airstrike and the team is decimated for half a minute. This is will be great for some maps as they wont last for 8 hours while teams are at a stalemate in the middle. I hope it will be an optional feature though.

edit- I saw a picture of the a morter and a machine gun. Are those actual parts of the updates?

The stairs and ladder kind of make it stand out as fan made I suppose. But still, I really want a mountable mg

So, Is anyone else excited for ejected bullet casings?

I always have a lot of fun with little aesthetic changes added into games, and I think flying brass makes any game's weapons feel a lot more satisfying to use. I used to mess with a little game engine for Mac, and I'd spend hours playing around with different combinations of bullet sprites, sounds, shell casings, muzzle flashes, etc... so I tend to eat this stuff up. Little changes like these can really make a big difference.

I always wanted to suggest shell casings, but feared getting ridiculed for suggesting something so trivial.

Deployable MG an Mortar are a must have for Aos we dont need assault rifles and fast weapons we need slow defending weapons and tactical useful weapons like the mortar.
Today everyone is just rushing it seems like cod(even worse unreal tournament OMG) no really where is the building defenses, trenches and fighting for Territory (not TC) dominance?

This game for me lost its spirit of dig and kill it is now just another Run and gun and i hope it doesn't stay so.

This game is not Battlefield, nor Call Of Duty. Remember that players.
So don't put stuffs like mounted MGs in maps.

CoD has put such a bad taste in peoples mouths.

I think people just rush down the middle because any other way is slow playing. Defending a ravine will see little/no action or considered camping. I think more flags/capture points are needed. Or a whole team of 32 working together with defending, attacking, flanking and building squads. Now that would be a good map.

Damn, I forgot that Call of Duty and Battlefield were the only video game franchises that featured tripod-based machine guns, not to mention the fact that they were also the very first video games to actually feature them.

Fuck off, faggot.

We've been asking for a mountable machine gun since April/May of last year, long before anyone had even mentioned a handheld automatic weapon (ie: the SMG).

Suddenly after seeing that image of the mountable machinegun, i want one.
That C4 made me go "hmph". WHY does it always have to be C4, there are other fucking explosives in the world. Make it dynamite or something else old school explosive. C4's just too mainstream.

Instead of C4, we can use Trinitrotoluene, also known as TNT.
That's far better choice than that mainstream sh!t of the name C4...

C4...There may be a Citroen C4, like that one.

I use TNT. Youve probably never heard of it. It's pretty underground
