Anyone help me find this?

Postby Defaulter » Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:34 am

I was watching a mvoie called "The Killing Room" (great movie btw) and for a second or two in the beginning you see one of the characters holding a book..... I was utterly intrigued as to what the book was....yet I cannot seem to find it anywhere at all, part of the title is obscured.

This is the best pic I could take: http://i48.tinypic.com/qzoe2g.png

And here is an enhancement on the title: http://i46.tinypic.com/23ms9e9.png

The first line is "Fantastic tales of" and the rest I have yet to figure out.

'Fantastic Tales of" is clear.

First four letters of next word are "Zurp" , and last part of second line is "ence." Rest is a bit unclear :P

I think the title reads "Fantastic tales of super science" and might have something to do with this collection of sci-fi stories: http://mfearing.wordpress.com/2012/05/0 ... e-fiction/ (notice the writing on the top of the cover)

However, the picture on OPs cover reminds me of a mushroom cloud, so it might not be related to sci-fi but rather actual science.

Good luck :)

I'm just wildly assuming that that's not a real book.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

Probably. From a producer's point of view, it would be too much of a hassle to get permission from an author for such an insignificant part of the movie.

Overall consensus from /lit/ is that the title is "Fantastic Tales of Super Science", and that it is not a real book.

@ReubenMcHawk

Yeh I just saw this

I went and looked through all the scans, the book in the movie is a prop...which is a shame as it seemed very interesting.

I misread it as "Santa's Gay Tales"

What's wrong with me? ._.
